ABOUT

Allez Cat is Hull #10 and was the PDQ 36 showboat. We are the third owners and she has been well taken care of with all systems functioning. Not only is she of excellent build quality, Allez Cat is comfortable, stable, easy to handle and with just enough space to give everyone on board a little breathing room. The interior includes two queen staterooms and one single stateroom, galley down, spacious salon, enclosed shower/head, and a full navigation station with quarter berth.

When we first started our boat search in 2008 we looked at both monohulls and catamarans. We visited the Annapolis and Miami boat shows for the opportunity to talk with owners and builders. The Antares caught our eye immediately but was out of our price range so we started looking at the catamarans built earlier by PDQ (Antares predecessor). On initial viewing, we thought they were too small for our family of 4 so we moved on to the bigger cats: Lagoons, Leopards, Fountain Pajot, etc. We chartered a Leopard 44 for a week and quickly realized that not only was it far more boat than we wanted or needed but the purchase and maintenance costs were going to mean our cruise time and enjoyment would be limited. So back to the PDQ 36 we went. Four years into our search, we found Allez Cat and knew immediately she was the right boat for us. She is well maintained and routinely updated, meets the headroom requirement (I am 6'3"), has excellent visibility from the helm, can be single handed, has great performance and safety record on the water, is economical on fuel, has plenty of interior and exterior storage, an active owner's community and invaluable knowledge available through the PDQ owner's forum.

Allez Cat is currently located on the hard in Newport, RI. We will be launching earliy May and cruising around Cape Cod, MA this summer. She has been a wonderful boat for us over the past 7 years and is ready for new owners and adventures.
